Black on India die-sunk on card. This engraving was rendered after an illustration by F.O.C. Darley, originally for the Continental Bank Note Company. After the banknote company consolidation in the late 1870s, American Bank Note Company came into possession of the plate. See back of scan for American Bank Note Company attribution.
