Engraved, printed in deep blue on white paper. The printing ink is quite thick and has a textured feel to it even after all these years.
Signed and dated Jan. 19, 1867 by C. Watts, a cigar inspector of the 7th taxation district in NYC. An old-time example, cut to shape.
A scarce stamp, with examples hard to come by in any condition. Numerous repairs, backed with thin card.
