Black on white watermarked paper, red check number. Notation indicates “balance of charges for week ending Nov. 21, 1898.” Beautiful penmanship for the payor bank name.
Very clean. Crease along upper edge. Please note that cashier’s handstamp on the back appear to show through to the front, but their appearance is exaggerated by the backlight of the scanner. Those markings are actually rather faint as seen on the front of the check.
