$32.50
Black, red, and purple on pinkish watermarked paper with an overall safety tint of wavy gray lines. This check has tremendous eye appeal with its turn-of-the-century lettering and incredibly detailed aerial view vignette. It’s a check you’ll want to pair with your stamp magnifier and spend quite a bit of time with. There are trains, ships, horses, stacks of lumber, and innumerable buildings, all clearly depicted in a space about 3″ x 2″. And hiding amidst all of that is a yellow Type X6 imprint paying the 2¢ bank check tax.
Typical spindle hole from bank processing is well concealed. Paper exhibits some slight wavering but this is only really visible from the back.
