R26c + R32c on Thirty Day Promissory Note

Black on white paper, 30 day promissory note made out for $256.16, payable at the Farmers & Mechanic’s National Bank. An oval embossed seal indicates “PAID” in the center of the note, though not visible in the scan. The 15¢ tax paid was the correct amount for the time period, that being 5¢ per hundred or fraction thereof.

R26c Foreign Exchange stamp is missing a small piece at bottom left. R32c Bill of Lading exhibits creases only visible under magnification. Nevertheless, an attractive fiscal document with a mixed revenue franking.
