This proof has been off the market since the mid-1990s. Printed on very thin paper affixed to card. Measures 3 7/8″ x 5 1/8″ (100mm x 130mm). This design is illustrated on cover in Milgram (AL-124 and 125, p. 79) though it omits Lincoln’s name as seen in the proof.
The untoned portions of the paper meld seamlessly with the card. Speckling is also present, and more uniformly so, on the back of the card. Clipped upper corners and small thin in lower right, just as acquired some 35 years ago. Dealer’s price penciled on back is $250. Offering it here at only $200.
