Baltimore City, MD
ca. 1870 – 1880
$20.00
Two-page handwritten letter on front and back of Maryland Land and Immigration Company stationery. Marvelous vignettes of an agricultural scene and a tall ship. The letter reads, in part:
“Cousin Izzie did not say anything about my fare up here _ and of course I could not _ I am afraid she has forgotten her offer…”
The letter is undated, but the style of the graphics suggest mid-1870s – 1880s. The letter does not conclude, suggesting that this is just one page of several from the original correspondence.
