Provenance: The William A. Keegan family scrapbook, spanning 1856 to ca. 1903. Three members of the Keegan family worked for the American Bank Note Company, one of whom was employed as a plate printer. The album contained many ABNC vignette proofs, this being the only philatelically-related item.
Die number printed in reverse at top is characteristic of this essay. American Bank Note Company imprint at bottom. The card backing was trimmed close at the time it was added to the album. Retains part of the album page to which it was originally mounted (appears as a thin brown border). SCV $575
