1931 Letter, Returned — “No Such P.O. in State” & “Received Without Contents”

Air mail cover postmarked U.S.S. Texas, franked with 1¢ Washington (type 405), 683 and 688. Large PO pointing finger handstamp (No. 42) indicating that the letter was returned from Chicago, IL. Additional PO handstamp indicates “Received at Chicago Ill P.O. Without Contents.”

1¢ stamp is slightly damaged. Cover is otherwise VF+ condition
