Engraved by Western Bank Note Company, Chicago. Black on white paper with red serial number, blue payor bank name (Chase National Bank, NY). Two fabulous vignettes well worth exploring under magnification.

Payee reads “Mutual Reserve Fund Life Assn” though ironically, perhaps, this draft was deposited into the Mortuary Account (see back scan).
