A very affordable RN revenue double error: the Type G stamp printed on the back, inverted. First image shows front and back.
Black on white paper with overall gray tint, dark blue serial number. This is one of two Atwater check styles listed in Castenholz, this one reading “ATWATER, ASTEN & CO.” in small type at left and right.
The back of the check is the star of the show with its inverted revenue imprint. Stains seen at top and corner, as well as the outline of the cut cancel, appear darker in the scan than when viewed in person.
